When to start buying baby things 🤷🏻‍♀️💕

I’m 15 weeks today and this is my first pregnancy. I’ve had my scan and everything is going well, I just wanted to know when everyone starts buying cute little clothes or should I wait till after my second scan?

I started buying a couple tiny pieces of clothes around 13 weeks because I couldn’t resist.  I’m now 20 weeks and need to start seriously buckling down on deciding what essentials we need to get.

I started as soon as I found out the gender, but I don’t think there’s any right or wrong time. Buying little things for my son has brought me so much joy throughout my pregnancy, even when I’ve been ridden with anxiety.

Uh I didn’t buy anything until I was 27 weeks - first big purchase was a car seat then the pram. 
I got baby grows... only 3 lol when I found out the sex (16 weeks) 
And then I brought stuff for bottle feeding/ bassinet at around 34 weeks! 
I didn’t even get his cot until he was 2 months old!

I’d say delay it as long as possible... once you pop you can’t stop. Also people will want to buy you gifts, even if you don’t have a shower. And babies really don’t need that much at the very beginning. The one exception id make to that is to add a pack of nappies and wipes to every grocery shop. You will go through those like crazy!

I started abt 13wks. I've brought outfits, shoes,printed onesies, bibs, a travel dome, high chair. I even brought her 1st birthday outfit. I promised myself I will stop shopping so much but it's so hard. I am now 18+1 today.

I was given a baby shower by my job before I left to move out of state at around 19 weeks and I started buying things myself about 20 weeks 5 days
