I just met someone online. He’s 17 years older than me

I met someone who was a friend and helping with relationship advice. I had essentially liked a guy who was disinterested in me. My online friend told me I should be treated better. After asking for final advice, this online friend and I started talking and there was slight flirting (imho) and we actually get along great. He’s an amazing listener, very respectful, and so complementary towards me. He really has shown me how a woman should be respected and treated (considering the context of our first meeting in the first place; I was being ghosted/bread-crumbed by someone and asked for advice. I was being disrespected and he has now shown me exact opposite of what I’m used to) We asked for each other’s age however, and it turns out he’s 17 years older than I am (I’m 24). Do you think I should steer clear, considering this is extremely new, online, and we don’t know much about each other? Should I be afraid of the unknown.

(P.S. THIS WAS NOT ONLINE DATING SITES by any means, I WAS STRICTLY SEEKING ADVICE on an advice/self care app. And things have led on from there)
