Prompting Ovulation?

Question

I’ve been having very irregular periods and lots of stopping...literally one day one and one day off. 
My partner and I want to try to have a baby this month. We’ve picked a donor through Seattle Sperm Bank, and made any appointment with our Naval Fertility Clinic. Will they be able to make me ovulate by using medication so we can try to Inseminate this month? Or will I have to wait until I have somewhat of a “normal” cycle?

Have you already had your bloodwork, HSG, genetic testing, consultation, etc? I am going to Walter Reed, and before they are willing to do our IUI, they had to do a full workup, to make sure that everything is in good working order.  After all of that is done, you will have a follow up appointment to discuss strategy, and where to go from there.
