I was put on lovenox after 4 losses and I've made it further than I ever have. I wouldn't say it "prevents miscarriage" but it has helped the circulation to help the baby grow properly. I'm 30 and it is weird being on it but hey its working so far I guess
Blood Thinners
I'm estimated to be about 6 weeks pregnant. I went to the Dr yesterday because I was wanting to see if there was anything he could do for me to help me not miscarry so he prescribed me lovonox? I did the first shot last night. He told me it would make me not miscarry. I have had 3 previous miscarriages all very early and I didn't know why. He told me this would help me. I'm 22 years old and married. Is this weird for a 22 year old to be on blood thinners? What do you think?

I’m 23 and I’ll be 7 weeks this Wednesday! I have been on blood thinners before bc I had a blood clot after having my daughter in January of 2018 and now I’m on lovenox injections as a precaution- my maternal fetal Med dr actually said it helps the baby to grow bc it increases circulation! I’ll be on them until 6 weeks postpartum bc of my history but then I’ll switch to Coumadin so that I can breastfeed! I also take a baby aspirin a day bc Doc said a baby aspirin a day helps to keep the pre eclampsia away! Good luck! I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy!! 💗💗

Thank you for commenting! I couldn't understand what a blood thinner would do for me but honestly I am farther than I've ever been with this so I will take it everyday. That had to be so scary for you! 😭😭 I hope you have a healthy safe pregnancy as well 💗💗💗
