I don’t know, I was just looking into it too but I read it is also used to help people gain weight (for bulking) and could also make some people lose their period so I thought I would mention this before you start!

It made me get early periods when I was on birth control so I stopped taking it. It would make sense that it can help regulate periods off BC tho because it was probably just trying to regulate my hormones.
