Heating Pad
I am 7 weeks pregnant, and found out I was expecting after a blood test to make sure that they wouldn’t be performing surgery on a pregnant woman. I have really bad knees and a bad right ankle. They were injured a decade ago, and I refuse medication for them. I have been using a heating pad on my knee and my ankle for the past several months. I was using it this afternoon, and it hit me that since I am pregnant I probably shouldn’t be using it any longer. I haven’t had any weird symptoms or anything that would indicate me doing damage to a baby, but I’m worried sick that I wasn’t paying attention and thinking of that. Can anybody tell me that they have had to use one while pregnant? Should I just go ahead and discontinue use the entire pregnancy? I obviously stopped soaking in hot water with Epson salt for it as soon as I found out I was expecting, but I just didn’t think about the heating pad. And I feel like if I overthink it I’m going to stress more, and that would probably be worse for the baby anyway. Thoughts or advice? Thank you!
