Pregnancy is not a competition
It’s sad that some women in the world treat pregnancy like a competition. Who has the worst symptoms? Who can or can’t do something? Like stop 🛑. Why can’t women ever support each other?
Pregnancy is not a disability but it is hard on some women’s bodies. Some require doctor’s notes to take it easy at work. Then you have Karen that will say, “when I was pregnant I worked twelve hours on my feet all day. You just want special treatment.” Or Susan will say, “ I worked until I was eight months pregnant and you didn’t see me sitting down.” Just because you may not have had it as hard doesn’t mean someone else isn’t suffering. Don’t compare pregnancy to others because you have no idea what that person is going through at the end of the day.
