My mother in law expects us to attend Thanksgiving and Christmas at her house, which I'm completely grateful for since I'm having a baby and do not want to have the added stress of planning for a family gathering at my house. However, when she told me about her plans I gently reminded her that I'm due around the holidays (12/9) and we (DH, DS (5), DD(3), DS (pending)) may not make it to either Thanksgiving or Christmas or both. She seems to think if I'm not actively in labor during those two days I should be able to go.

I just hope I'm well enough by Christmas to spend the day cooking, packing up presents, and the generally merriment that comes with Christmas and families.

I'm pretty sure I can make Thanksgiving if I haven't gone into labor early, I guess I'm just generally worried.
