Snorty newborn?

My LO is 2 weeks old and she sounds like she has tons of mucus in her chest bc she’s so snorty and grunty... is that normal?

My midwife told me this is the number one question she gets. The snorts, coughs, etc make sense because your little one had spent their whole life under water until two weeks ago. It'll pass eventually :)

Yes, very normal. Feels like a cruel survival mechanism to keep mothers awake all night watching over them like a hawk.
