Nipple pain! Please help

I'm 38 weeks and my left nipple hurts so bad! Why only my left? It feels like a sharp all over pain like almost like a pimple that hasn't "ripened" yet? Or a pimple that you really have to pop because theres a lot of pressure? As gross as that sounds that's the only way I can describe it... sorry 😓

Is this normal or okay? What does it mean?
