Will we? Won't we?

Question

Soooo, after a long term relationship we broke up, there was no cheating on either part. Just arguing a LOT. We have both said we still love each other and always will, but after 2 weeks apart I am missing him like crazy and want him back. I asked him outright yesterday if there's a chance for us because if there's not then i'l leave him alone. He replied and said we would probably get back together.

I mean.. does it even really matter? 
You will just end up back in this boat again anyway because nothing has changed in 2 weeks to fix the actual problems with the relationship. 
So, even if you do get back together, what would stop it from playing out exactly the same way the next time..?

There’s a chance you’ll get back together but that doesn’t necessarily mean you should. Sometimes people grow apart and need time to learn who they are. That’s what happened to my ex and I. We said there was a chance we might get back together. We realized we were better as friends and have moved on. We’re both in new relationships and still text about once a week 🙂
Really, you just need to evaluate what’s best for you. Put aside how much you miss and love him and think if that relationship is healthy, benefitting you, and helping you grow. If it isn’t, then it’s probably best to be friends, that way you’ll still be in each other’s life
