41 weeks and cervix still closed?

Question

Anybody else been through this? Wat was the outcome for you? Been called for an induction in 4 days.  Its my third child aswell 🙄.

With my first baby my cervix was completely closed and long at my 41 week appointment (41&3) My midwife wasn't even able to sweep my membranes. I refused to be induced until I was over 42 weeks so my induction was scheduled for 42 weeks and 2 days I think. Thankfully my body went into labor naturally at 41&5 and baby was born at 41&6 :) So, there is hope that you can quickly change from not dilated at all to having your baby... sometimes your body and baby just isn't ready for a little longer!

Yes I was a "high and tight zero" at nearly 42 weeks. I wanted to cry!! I got induced and had a very long labor and 4 hours of pushing. But my baby boy was delivered healthy (albeit, some blisters on his head from being in the birth canal so long) and he was totally worth the wait and long labor!
