My 15lb 5 month old baby girl wakes up 4 times during the night to feed. Is this normal or is she dependant on the bottle to sleep? Or is it that my breast milk is not enough for her to be full anymore.

normal. I bed share with my son and he is ebf. he wont take bottles but he wakes up at night still. sometimes once sometimes 5 ish lol.. its completely normal. chances are they arent even hungry but seeking comfort. he wakes up, nurses for a couple min then hes back to sleep

4 times seems like a lot. How long is she in bed for? I’d say up her calories during the day if you can and try to cut it down to 2-3 night wakings. Then in a month or so cut another night waking but make sure she gets enough food in the day or it won’t work.

Look up reverse feeding. Try to get the calories in during the day to reduce need to eat at night

Have you tried rice or oatmeal yet?? I give my girl oatmeal by spoon right before bed and she sleeps all night.

My daughter goes to bed at 21:30-22:00, and she wakes at 02:00 and 06:00 to eat, then gets up around 09:00 for the day. I EBF her. 4 sounds like a lot, but it could be normal for your baby. And most babies go to sleep earlier than mine. 😂

My son is about 14.5lbs and stopped doing night feeds a couple months ago. What we did was up calories all day feeding every 2hrs max and I double feed him before bed. Let him drain my breasts and then about 1hr later give him a bottle since I wouldn’t be completely full

Can she self settle or does she feed to sleep. If she has a feed to sleep association  then it may be you need to break that. However if she can self settle and isn’t being fed to sleep then it can be completely normal.

Mine has been sleeping through the night since 2 1/2 months. All my kids have been like that but I do formula around that time. Maybe put a little rice in the bottle with breast milk? My pediatrician said I could start food at 4 months but maybe check with your pediatrician.
