Hi ladies!

I hope this post helps someone that is considering or met with the choice to have the HSG x-ray done.

If you’re reading this, I was likely like you. Nervous as all get out. To the point where I didn’t sleep well the night before, I cried the entire morning because I was honestly terrified from reading everything online. I won’t even waste time to tell you not to read because we all do it. Read! But if you find your mood effected so much that you consider canceling your appointment STOP READING! lol I was so close to cancelling because I had literally scared myself.

My appointment was 12:30 pm today and I was done by 12:45 pm. The lead up was terrible because its the typical doctors office thing of waiting and waiting.

I won’t lie, it wasn’t comfortable. At all. Your doctor performs this often (trust me) if you have a doctor you trust like I do I’m sure your doctor will tell you when you’ll likely feel pressure and cramps. My doctor was spot on. And boy did they happen. The cramps felt a lot like period cramps but period cramps on steroids! My butt flew off table because it was that uncomfortable. However when they release the instrument used to open you up, the cramps subside. Almost instantly. It doesn’t last long.

I immediately believed because I felt so much pain that my tubes were blocked but they weren’t! And my uterus looked awesome! I am so glad that I got this done. So much that my mood completely changed today. This procedure whether blocked tubes or not is important to do and helpful! If you’re trying to conceive and this is next on your checklist...get it done. Have someone there to hold your hand and you’ll be fine. Think about it this way, we go through 3-4 days of cramps, what’s 1-3 minutes?

If you’re reading this, I wish you so much baby dust! 🌻
