This is kind of a long post. Bare with me, please.

Let me preface this with a bit of information:

I’m seventeen, I’m a virgin, my period has been going on for six days now and its most likely on last day or so.

About three days ago I started developing a small, itchy bump on one of my outer labia. I shave, so I assumed it was just a razor burn. I’m normally pretty good with a razor, but it’s happened a few times before so I didn’t think much of it.

But over time the bump grew, and became a little painful pressing against my pad. Today it was particularly painful, and there was pressure on it.

This morning (twelve hours ago) I decided to look at it with a hand mirror. As I was (gently) tugging back the skin, a HUGE, hard white head rolled out. There are very few times I’m disgusted by my own body, but this was one of them. Immediately, a lot of the pressure was relieved. There was a tiny bit of blood. I cleaned the area and washed my hands, put on clean underwear and went about my day, kind of worried and constantly googling what it could be.

There’s still tenderness, and some stinging. I took another look a few minutes ago, and the bump has decreased in size, but there’s a very small open part in the center where the white head was. I gently washed the area again with fragrance free Summer’s <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a> and water.

I also noticed however, that a similar bump with a white head has now developed on my buttcheek on the other side.

I’m guessing this is acne, then, but I’m wondering if this is worth going to a doctor for. Is it likely to get infected? If it is acne, can I treat it at home and how so? Thank you for any information.
