15 dpo and missed period

Hey ladies, I am 15 dpo and I was "supposed" to get my period today, but I haven't yet. I usually get it in the morning. I took a test and it was negative. I am 43, and I was on bc for years and have never been pregnant. I pulled the goalie a couple months ago just to see what happens. I'm curious if this type of scenario is common????
