Single or double stroller?

Question

I’m due with our first baby in Feb and I’m researching strollers. We know we want a second child shortly after the first. Should we skip the single stroller and just buy one that converts into a double?

If you are 100% sure you want a second child and close to the first then yes. Just purchase a double from the begining. I would also register for the second seat or purchase the second seat if you want a specific color becuase sometime they discontinued a color or stroller model all together.

My son is 10 months and I’m pregnant again with our 2nd (and last) - chose this from the beginning since we knew we wanted two close in age.

If you can afford it, I’d get the single now and get a double later. In the long run, yes, you’ll want a double stroller... but, there are going to be times when the kids aren’t together. Double strollers are big and bulky regardless of what kind you have. I have the gt city select double and single for my two that are 20 months apart. I’m really grateful that they were both gifts and I can choose which one I want depending on the task/errand.

Yes! I wish I did this. Instead I bought a single and unexpectedly got pregnant 9 months pp so I then had to buy a convertible stroller. I got a great one second hand but still 🤷‍♀️

I don't have a second child, but when shopping for our stroller, I was caught off guard by how heavy they all are!  I can't imagine getting a double stroller in and out of the car.  Just something else to consider/test out.

I’m ftm due in oct and we are going single to double as we also want kids back to back. Not sure what country or state you are in but if there is a buy buy baby I strongly recommend going and testing them out!!! I looked at 7 single to doubles and was able to open, close, fold up and down, attach car seats and bassinets if they have them and lift for weight! They have weighted dolls you can push around too that give more realistic weight idea. Was super helpful!

If you are planning to have your children close in age then definitely buy a single to double! I wish I did that!! I am due with our 2nd in October and my 1st will be 2 in Nov. I am looking into the City Select Lux but now I need to get rid of my other stroller.

Zoe strollers can be used single or expanded to double and triple, even up to four additions.
