I am 21+4 weeks pregnant I've been getting makena since 16 weeks reason for is that my 2.5 year old was born at 30 weeks and my 4.5 year old water broke at 34 weeks but I stayed in the hospital until 38 weeks. Well the first shot was fine, but since the second shot I've been developing a reaction. This last shot on Tuesday has caused my entire left butt cheek and thigh to swell.

I have discussed this with the doctor. She told me that I either stop the shots or I can suffer through and stop the shots at 34 weeks instead of 36 weeks. I have to make a decision by Tuesday the 20th which is when I get my next shot.

Anyone else have had a reaction to the makena shot? What did you do? If you stuck it out what helped with the symptoms.

I think I'm going to continue until I can no longer bear the reactions or Benadryl doesn't ease the reaction. Just want to see if anyone else has had reactions.
