Has anyone TTC after going through chemotherapy?

Question

I had stage 3 breast cancer when I was 32.  I went through about 6 chemo treatments over 3 months.  I did not do surgery or radiation.  I am now 40 and ttc.  Wondering if you or someone you know has gotten pregnant after going through chemo?  It’s my first cycle ttc and I’m currently in the TWW period, so I don’t know if I am fertile or not.  Just preparing myself if I get a BFN.

I would think over 8 years after your last dose would be enough time to heal from it. The human body is an amazing organ, it replaces and repairs itself on a daily basis. 
Honestly, I wouldn’t even worry about the chemo doing damage. You would of found out by now if it caused major damage, like no period. 
If in 6 months you haven’t conceived after actively trying and tracking, I would go see a doctor for testing, defiantly your eggs because those would of been affected. You can go in now for a blood draw to check your ovarian reserve, estrogen, progesterone etc Sooner to double check if they are good. 
But even tho you’re 40, that’s young and you can still become pregnant!
