Wanting to ask for fewer hours at work, but nervous!

Has anybody asked their employer for fewer hours? I work in an occupational health clinic. My schedule is 7:30 am - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday. I have insomnia as is, but pregnancy is making it worse! I'm 13 weeks and 3 days today. It's such a struggle to get up at 6:15 am and get to work by 7:30 with this insomnia, low energy, and morning sickness. I've been setting up 15 minutes earlier than usual ever day that I can, to be able to eat crackers and drink Gatorade to prepare myself for the day, and to allow time for my morning sickness to make me vomit. My clinic is very small, and we are not busy at all. We used to see 50 patients a day and for the last 3 years were down to maybe 8 a day. I litterally sit and twiddle my thumbs and watch the office all day. My husband thinks I should ask for fewer hours, because it's pointless for me to drag myself into work just to sit and do nothing and not feel well. I was thinking of asking my manager if I could come in an hour later, so I can get more sleep and feel healthier during this time. My 2 co workers are sisters and they get to pick whatever schedules they want. They are supposed to work my shift, but now work 8:20-2:30 because they refuse the get day care and their mother won't watch their kids past that time. My boss has always let these 2 girls pick their hours for the last 5 years, because hes always had me to rely on to catch the fall. I'm sick of it and I have been for a while. I'm not looking to quit my job. I've been here for 7 years and it's the easiest job I will ever have in my life. ** I just want to know if anybody has any advice for asking to work fewer hours?** I am going to send my boss an email next week about it. I am just so exhausted and I am up all night with morning sickness. I've tried everything for it too. I'm just trying to get thru it. I feel like coming to work even an hour later than normal will help me so much with getting the rest I need. I don't ever fall into a good sleep until 5 am and then my alarm is going off at 6:15. I just want some sleep yall! ANY ADVICE?
