When do women plan there maternity leave?

This is my first and I’m kinda struggling with when I should take it or not. I work with target and I just don’t want to take it too soon I want to spend as much time with my baby as I can

I worked until baby was born. I got in touch with my HR person while I was in labor. 😂

Everyone is different. I have two children and I worked up until I gave birth with both of them. I, like you, wanted as much time with my babies as possible.

I filled out the paperwork for FMLA when I told my supervisor about being pregnant, somewhere around 20 weeks. I worked until I went into labor.

Talk to your HR person. I  found out last week they want us to give 30 days notice before taking maternity leave where I work

I worked until I had the baby last time and plan to do the same this time. That way I get all of my leave with the baby. Especially since daycares won’t take them before 6 weeks.
