HUGE TMI: placenta? I had my daughter 2 days ago and today i started passing clots about the size of a quarter. My dr told me not to worry. Well, i just passed this. Is this a blood clot? Or does this look like remaining placenta ? Freaking out.

It’s normal, just monitor that they don’t keep coming frequently.

It is so common to pass clots after having a baby, it's the same rule as when you have your period. If you pass anything bigger than an egg then you can call the ob. However, I HIGHLY doubt it's your placenta remnants, they literally examine the placenta immediately after its delivered to make sure it's all detached. What your experiencing is normal.

I gave birth on Wednesday and had one clot this size and nurses told me it was fine/normal, because it wasn’t reoccurring or fairly large.

This looks very normal. I just had my daughter on the 4th and passed clots bigger than that for a couple days. If it’s larger than a golfball that would be concerning. They usually do a very thorough job in hospitals of checking for retained placenta. I think you’re ok!
