Dr. Likes to Fib about dilation???

My water broke- so I’m admitted to the hospital now. They informed me I’m 1.5 centimeters dilated and still very thick even though my doctor said I was 3 on Wednesday.... they informed me she likes to fib to make people feel better when they leave their appointments.... I know it doesn’t matter at this point but the nurses said they always get to feel like the bad guys.

That is so not ok for your doctor to do that. I’m sorry you experienced that with her. Lying to patients is not ok, especially when you’re supposed to trust her with the most important thing in your life: delivering your baby!

I’d rather be told the truth then being led on false hope, my waters broke yesterday afternoon I have to go in at 8:30am if labour hasn’t started on its own good luck

I’d never heard of that! 😱 I’ve heard of labor stalling due to stress and non consensual membrane sweeps but never a doc lying about dilation! Wow!
