When is lower backpain a sign of labour ?

28 weeks and my lower back is hurting and I don’t have any other symptoms. Do I get worried? Or relax?

Answer

I had back labor with my first and it came in waves, got worse when I moved around, got closer together as labor progressed and the pain also wrapped around my hips. My belly would also get tight with every contraction. Some women also have the pain spread down their legs but I didn't, just back and hips feeling like they're being pulled apart.
Back pain on its own is normal during pregnancy though.
