I got pregnant three weeks after the wedding and it was a trip...
I don’t regret it, but I do recognize that there was a special time of being newlyweds that I instead spent exhausted and nauseated and it was not just 9 months of suffering, but being post-birth and settling into a new life has taken maybe 3 more months. That’s a year of stress and focus away from your new marriage. By now, we are so different. My baby takes priority and our relationship clings on as best as it can. We fight and communicate and cry together, we are so busy and we can’t wait for it to get easier. We never got a honeymoon and we really need that now. It’s a very serious commitment. I miss my relationship sometimes and I hope when my baby gets a little older it will go back to normal. My baby is only content playing for a little while by himself so besides naps he commands all my attention. My libido is shot with hormones (that’s how it is...still don’t have a period yet since I am breastfeeding). Dates with my husband are distracted by hopping the baby on our laps, if we can’t get a sitter. We love being a family of 3 but sometimes it’s sad that we were hardly able to enjoy our family of us two. I think it will be more normal someday but never what it was before our baby, which is okay of course but if you have the choice I’d think real hard and just try to enjoy your husband for a bit.

From most of the older people I run into in my life and family I think you should wait two to four years before having a baby after just getting married. Enjoy your life with just you two! It such a magical thing to just go and do whatever with your husband and settling down together and getting into the groove of married life! Personally me and my husband are just focusing on traveling and doing what we enjoy together right now. (We’ve been married almost a year) and it’s been the best time of my life ❤️ but then again you do you girl! 💕

I got pregnant about 2 months after we got married. Its been an adjustment for sure but we are handling the best we can. We never took a honeymoon but we definitely we need one now. Sometimes I feel like my husband doesn't get enough attention from me between work and baby but I try the best I can to focus on him when I have the chance. It's all up to you and your husband if you guys are ready or not for a child.

That's what i did. My husband and i talked about having a baby for a year becore we got married and the plan was, once we were married, we would start trying. Currently on cycle #2 of ttc. But if you're unsure about it, id say dont do it.
