So I’ve noticed on here a lot of women are getting inductions and some of them are just for going over due. How long past your due date do your doctors let you go? Do they just schedule one at 40 weeks? What is the criteria? I’m genuinely curious🧐

I have a midwife and they won’t talk about induction until 42 weeks (bc of state law I believe) and this is my first so I have no clue what OBs typically do for pregnancy either.

(I’m not asking about medically necessary inductions but elective ones for being over due!)
