Cough from Crying?

Allegra

Okay so I'm just curious.

Yesterday we did a big drive, 4 hours, and my daughter (3.5 months) slept maybe 45mind of it and cried the rest (really cried). We took stops when we could.

Well at the third stop I noticed she had a cough. I made a mental note to keep an eye on it. We get to the place we are staying and it's still there. Also when she "talks" it sounds scratchy. It's a wetish cough, I don't hear anything while she breaths or when I put my ear to her chest, her nose is fine, no fever, eating and sleeping fine (out of the car). I heard her cough a few times in the night but it doesn't seem to bother her.

My question is can crying so much cause a cough? That's what my husband thinks. I'm worried she's sick but we have all day in the airport, a 9 hour night flight and a 2 hour car ride till our destination.
