Contractions 40w3d

Last night I went out to the hospital with contractions 5 min apart , they were strong an hurt pretty bad. But I got sent home because I'm not dilating past 1cm, and with their new guidelines in the OBGYN they can't go ahead an keep me an start my induction till I hit 41w. Which is Sunday I'm scheduled to be induced. But ever sense I left last night their hitting a lot harder an I can't find anything to make me more comfortable or to ease the pain. Is there anything that helped anyone ? I hate going back all the way up there to be sent home again too sit in pain for the next 4 days. It hurts so bad I want to cry.
