Can you still have a negative pregnancy test at the time of due period and still be pregnant?

Hi all, I'm currently 2days late for my period and dont seem to have strong signs like I normally do that my period is due, I've tested and they've been BFN, just wondering can you be pregnant but still get negatives even at the time your period is due? I thought by now a positive would show up pretty much right away?

Possibly ovulated later than you thought.

It's unlikely. It's more likely you ovulated late which is the number one reason a period is late or a test shows positive late

Not all the time. When I got pregnant, I had negatives tests from 10 - 17 dpo. I was 4 days late before I got my positive and I was testing every morning from 10 dpo. HCG builds differently in every woman. You could have implanted late as that can happen from 6-12 dpo. So if you did implant late, you need a good few days for the HCG to build up in your system before it shows up on a test. Just wait a few more days and if your period still doesn't show, then test again. If your tests are still negative and you still have not had your period. Go to your doctor to see if they can do a blood pregnancy test for you.
