When do babies move onto the bigger car seat? Does it go by weight? 
My son is really big for his newborn car seat like he looks really uncomfortable and I’m just wondering about getting him a new one

it does go by weight and length. check the sticker on your infant seat. we have already upgraded to a convertible car seat.

Our guy seemed so uncomfortable in his car seat so I read our car seat manual yesterday. I discovered that the settings we had it on were for babies under 11 lbs. There were different adjustments we could make to make it a little roomier for him. It’s much better now, but I feel like an idiot for not checking it sooner. 🤦🏼‍♀️

You can switch whenever you like really. Babies outgrown them based on the height and weight requirements, whichever comes first. For example, our infant seat is outgrown at 35lbs OR 32”.

I’m going to switch once he can sit on his own/rest on my hip better when carrying. My body is tired of lugging that seat everywhere!!
