How long is the 12 week scan?

Hi! I’m in the UK and have my 12 week scan on Friday! Just wondering how long the scan and the bloods screening for Down’s syndrome etc takes altogether? I have to be in work straight after! Thanks x

hi. my 12 week scan didnt take long at all. it was waiting for a midwife to take bloods that took forever. my scan was at 1pm I got there early the sonographer was running on time so I had my scan done about 12.40pm which I though great I wont be here too long. I was wrong I didnt get to see a midwife to go over my scan results and take blood until gone 3pm 😞 I hope its alot quicker process for you. goodluck I hope everything goes well!!!

I had my scan at 2pm then didn’t get seen by the midwife until after 5pm so I’d allow plenty of extra time just in case
