Pregnant!? 😱 What to do

I'm absolutely scared shitless and my husband is! We recently got married a few months ago but wasn't planning on having kids for a least another 5 years and also we weren't even sure we definitely wanted them (sorry) 
Anyway the past week or so my nipples have been really sore and I'm a week late on my period! So took a few tests and bam?!
We would never get rid of course! We both have good jobs so there's no reason not to. But I'm so scared I don't know the first thing about kids! (and yes we used protection) I've  don't have any family with kids and never been around them! 
Where do I go from here and what to do? 
I rung the doctors they gave me a number for midwife but that just always goes to answer machine and refers me to fill out a form online. I've filled the form out but how long does it take for them to get back to you and then what happens? Obviously I'm really early on so nothing can happen yet, but like I dunno what I should be doing

Go get some prenatals. Start drinking lots of water. Eating good. Just basically be pregnant lol that's all you really can do until you find out more and then go with the flow. Itll be okay. It's scary even when you plan the babies lol

You know what I alway said I never wanted kids and I have one little one and another on the way. I was so worried didn’t think I would be a good mum I made mistake.l but don’t we all but health visitors Midwife’s are amazing. Where about are you if you don’t mind me asking

Just keep trying to get ahold of the midwife! What might help you pick up some pregnancy books and start reading up on what to expect and you could look up some parenting classes to help you know what to expect when the baby comes. Just make sure your taking your prenatals too! 😊

I just went through the same thing girl you got this! I didn't have a midwife though, I just called my local OB and told them I thought i was pregnant and scheduled an appointment. They ended up being great so I stuck with them and last month delivered my perfect little man there! It's definitely scary (I didn't have any experience with kids/pregnancy either) but your maternal instincts will be there when you need them and pretty much every person that knows youre preggo will have some type of advice to give anyway lol but definitely go get some prenatal vitamins!

First thing to do is have a serious sit down with your husband and discuss what you really want to do. The most important thing is that you both go into this on the same page. You mentioned you wanted to wait to have children and weren’t even sure you wanted any. It is SUPER important for you as parents to WANT to be parents and to be sure about that. It is equally important for a potential child to have parents who want to be parents and feel ready. I am a firm believer in pro-choice meaning you can choose whether and when you start a family. Whether that is now with this baby, later on, or if it means your family is just you and your husband. You decide! Just because you find yourself pregnant does not mean you must keep the baby. There are options and it is well worth it to consider them all and then make the decision about what you both want to do. Once you and your husband have decided what your plan is, that will dictate your next move. If you decide you want to go ahead with this pregnancy, schedule an appointment with the doctor for a blood test to confirm and to find out the schedule for ultrasounds and routine checkups either with the doctor or a midwife. They should set up your next appointment, whenever that is and talk you through the various appointments, tests, ultrasounds, etc. Good luck to you and your husband! Buy some prenatal to start off with. Limit caffeine and you’re only supposed to take Tylenol if you have aches and pains. Maybe this is a blessing and what you guys needed. My boyfriend and I weren’t planning on having kids anytime soon like you guys as well and now I’m 37 weeks and I’m so excited. Everything happens for a reason and we were scared too don’t get me wrong, were both in our early twenties and not married and had a one bedroom. But it’s crazy how much things can change and now we can’t wait for her to be here, it definitely takes time to adjust but you guys will get there promise! Goodluck!

Take a deep breath and remember, you don’t have to figure everything out right away. You have lots of time, baby won’t be here tomorrow. 
Take it one month at a time. My husband and I are having our surprise baby too! 
YouTube has been a great resource for us. Look up first trimester check list, first trimester things to know/do. Only watch those, then in a few months move on to 2nd trimester videos and so on. Just focus on what needs to happen today. 
There is not a huge rush for the doctor, call and make an appointment, but often times they won’t schedule you for several weeks anyway. My prenatal appointments didn’t start till I was 9 weeks. 
In 3rd trimester there are usually taking care of baby classes at the hospital

Once baby comes you will get the hang of it real fast. Trust me. I saw my husband who has hardly ever touched a baby in his life, change diapers and hold the baby so well by the second day in the hospital. If he can do it, you'll be just fine 😁
