How do I measure the units I'm supposed to give?

My doctor prescribed levemir and the nurse showed me how to draw it up on 1ml syringe but when I picked it up it's in a pen that you have to dial in. Do I assume 1 click for each unit? I don't want to overdose myself. Does anyone else use levemir pen?

If yours is like mine there should be numbers on there and when you turn the dial. You want it to be set at how ever many units you need. I was told to turn the dial to 2 and shoot it in the air to make sure some comes out.

Call your pharmacist and ask that they give you education on how to use your pen. I do believe that one click is one unit. Still would check with the pharmacy though.
