Electric or Manual Pump Pros and Cons?

Trying to figure out what type and brand I should be putting on my baby registry. I 100% plan on breast feeding, but I know nothing about breast pumps. What brand do you ladies recommend?

I have two electric thru insurance (spectra and madela) and still actually prefer the hand pump. I wore out the first w my first baby and bought a new one for our second baby. There are lots of options for manual pumps online (Amazon, etc). 🤗 if you get a electric thru insurance I say get it and then buy the manual. You can see which you like better that way.

I have an electric and 2 manuals all medela. The electric stays in my bedroom, I have a manual for the car and a manual for the living room. And I use a Haakaa when I’m nursing

I use my avent manual like 99% of the time. I get more milk out because I can easily massage my boob while pumping with it.

Both! I got a haaka manual, because I read excellent reviews and you can use it on the other side while breastfeeding to catch let down and so it doesn’t go to waste. Super cheap on amazon! I also got a spectra s2 from insurance. Second favorite to medela. But it’s more quiet and has a night light for night time pumping if baby wakes up or not.
