Entertainment for our 9month old in the car?

We going on a 5hr car ride next week with our 9month old daughter and our 2 boys. Our boys are easy to entertain but I know our little girl going to hate being in a car seat for so long. Obviously we be stopping often for breaks but wondering if anyone got some tips or must buys (toy wise) can keep our little girl happy?

We drove from California to Missouri over the summer and she actually did really well! There were a few times she lost her shit which we totally expected and understood and just dealt with. As far as entertainment...there isn’t really much you can do for a baby who’s just over it! 🤷🏼‍♀️

We drove 6.5 hours when my son was 8 months old and he did great. I kept him busy with smaller, new toys he hadn’t seen before and had a variety of things such as stuffed animals, light up toys, toys with sound, rattles, teethers, books with flaps, etc. And snacks! Lots of snacks...puffs and fruit & veggie melts.

We just took an 8 hour road trip with our daughter to the beach. She was 8months old at the time. I put my daughter to bed as usual. Around 2am, I got my daughter out of her crib and fed her (basically a dream feed) and then put her in the car seat. We left our home at 2:30am. She slept until about 7am and we found somewhere to stop around 7:30am to feed her and change her diaper. We were able to drive about 2hours more without much fuss. My mother in law sat in the back and entertained her by reading stories and giving her back her toys when she would drop then. She took a short cat nap too. When we had about an hour left in our trip, she had a melt down and there was no where to pull over and traffic was a nightmare. She eventually calmed down and fell asleep.  Since your trip is only 5 hours, I would try to leave in the middle of the night so most of the trip your baby will be asleep.

I would just take some favorite small toys from home and switch them out every once in a while.

I know this is crazy lol but you could get one of these and let it play and let the baby watch it change colors and move...or something like this. Along with somw.other rubber toys that they could chew on and hold.
