Baby laundry detergent

FTM here... due 10/15

I need to start washing baby clothes and organizing! What laundry detergent is everyone using? Dreft and Tide Free & Clear were the options i was looking into. Were they gentle enough and good at removing spit up, poop, puke stains when baby arrives?

THANKS!

Dreft is actually filled with harmful chemicals despite being marketed as a gentle product. Any free and clear detergent will work! We just use our normal detergent because there’s no point in washing only the baby’s in something special when they are going to be touching our clothes and other fabrics anyway.

All free and clear for ALL of us. Partly because of sensitive skin and partly because baby will be on our clothes as much as he’s in his own. Most baby detergents are filled with fragrances, dyes, and chemicals that I don’t want on baby. They need their sense of smell to know whose who and not the overwhelming smell of laundry detergent.

I know tide and purex have free and clear versions too, I buy them if All isn’t on sale and they are.

Thank you, I didn't even think of that! I have had an allergic reaction to ALL brand before but maybe I will need to try the free and clear kind.

I use Thieves laundry soap for all of my laundry, and plan to continue using it when baby comes. It’s gentle, but cleans SO great. Plus, there’s no way I could keep up with laundry if I had to run two different laundry soaps and keep everyone’s laundry separate!

I normally already use seventh generation free and clear, so that’s what I’m going to stick with. I had a sample of dreft so I washed some baby blankets and stuff with it and they came out smelling so strong!

Dreft smelled awful and actually caused my husband to break out in hives. I used the tide free clear as it was great with stains and such

I just bought Ivory detergent for new born. Although I have washed some of baby’s stuff in Tide original liquid and made sure to do an extra rinse cycle, no fabric softener and hung dry everything.

I bought ALL CLEAR for my son thats due October 15 via c-section. I used it with my 4year daughter when she was first born as well, its very gentle on the skin.

We used Dreft and I was pretty impressed with how well it was able to get out all of stains. For the heavy duty stains, I would put Dawn Dish Soap (the blue one) directly on the stain before washing. Works every time.

I use the ECO, is for babies! So far I’ve used it with my first and now I’m planning to use it with my second. It’s good 👌🏻
