Never told anyone

Natalie🌻

I’ve never told my birth story on social media (or to anyone really) because I feel like most people don’t really care but I still want to share it!

At my 39 week appt, my doctor scheduled my induction date for my due date at 5 am. I was so nervous and excited the day before, that I couldn’t sleep!

I didn’t fall asleep until 2 or 3 and then we woke up late and had to rush all of our bags and everything together! It was a mess! Then, when we got to the hospital, the nurses tried to tell me I wasn’t on the schedule to get induced. My face was like

My doc accidentally scheduled the wrong day but they took us back to our room anyway. They stuck both arms 6 times trying to put my iv in. I felt like I was having the worst luck and was freaking out hoping no more bad things would happen!

They started me on pitocin at 6am and by 8 am my doc broke my water and then the contractions were killer

I was so scared I was going to poop while giving birth, that I asked to go to the bathroom before I got my epidural but my contractions were too bad when I tried to poop that I said forget it 😂

I got the epidural around 3cm and so glad I did! It hurt but I felt so much better after. However, they let my epidural medicine run out and from 8-10 cm I thought I was DYING

They rushed to get me a “delivery dose” so I couldn’t feel when I had to push. It was great after that! I pushed for about 2 hrs and was worried I wasn’t going to be able to push her big head out! It was the hardest thing I ever had to do

My baby had so much hair that while I was trying to push her out, my ob was playing with her hair and making a Mohawk!!

Finally at 6:33 pm, my Lilah Rose was born 8.12 lbs and 19 1/2 inches!

And now today is her first birthday! It is so bittersweet. I could not have asked for a better daughter.
