Happened to me Sept. 19 and it’s so hard. He was jay walking and it wasn’t my fault but I feel like it was.

I had a pedestrian sprint out from between 2 parked cars without looking and smack the side of my car (where the mirror is). Definitely not the same experience as they were unharmed, but if they did it any sooner it could have been a similar situation, I'd suggest seeking counseling about it.

I agree with the other comment in going to counseling and if you can talk to the family and maybe apologize. I’m sure that would help get you through it even if they don’t accept it I’m sure they’d still appreciate it. And for you to get it off your chest and start moving on. My uncle was walking when he was hit and killed. So I’ve been on the other side of this and it’s been very very difficult for us. And especially because the guy never apologized(it was his fault) and he got away with it but honestly that’s the least that could have been done for our family is an apology.
