Blood in stool

So I had small chunks of bright red blood in my stool and on the toilet paper today. I have been having lower right abdominal pain for days, so I immediately went to a walk in clinic and the doctor told me there was no need to do an exam. He said it’s probably hemorrhoids and if it doesn’t go away to come back. I cant see any external hemorrhoids. I’m 11 weeks postpartum but I haven’t had this issue at all before. Anyone else have something similar? I had a colonoscopy of the large colon 2 years ago and everything was normal at that time. 🤷‍♀️
