Am I overreacting ?

So my boyfriend and I moved to a new state and got a nice apartment, and his mom moved in because she got a job offer in the state we (my boyfriend and I) moved to, so we let her move in as long as she helped pay bills and helped take care of our new apartment, we’ve been here since May and our apartment looks and smells like we’ve been here for a year, nit only does her cat spray everywhere and she doesn’t change the litter box every day, her dog(8 years old) has peed and pooped everywhere and she refuses to clean it up, yes she’s paying half the rent but in the long run the apartment is in his name and everything wrong with it will go on his credit, the carpet had 8 stains and I have to clean it daily, we’ve asked her to put her dog in the kennel while she’s gonna and at night, she refuses. My dog(5 years old) is house trained, and goes in the kennel when we’re gone and at night and is taken out regularly. We do take her dog out as well but he never uses the bathroom outside only inside... I’ve tried to potty train him while she’s gone but when she gets home she ruins it all by letting him pee and poop on the balcony and doesn’t clean it up she also gets off work at 6:30 and only takes him out once before she goes to sleep at 8:30 and he has to wait to pee until the next morning... I’ve expressed my opinion to her however it’s not my place it’s my fiancé’s... he won’t say shit to his mother...

Also I didn’t mention I’m 5 months pregnant breathing in dog and cat piss and shit🤦🏻‍♀️🙄😡

I would tell her she needs to find her own place soon. It’s disgusting. You definitely can’t raise a child around dog urine and feces. Plus, she’s messing with her son credit and security deposit. Regardless how much rent she’s paying, she’s over stepping boundaries and trying to control things with “because I said so”. Regardless if she’s the mother of your fiancé, it’s not her house.

I understand the dog being in a kennel when your gone... but all of a sudden your gonna make an 8 year old dog sleep in a freakin kennel every night?
I definitely don’t agree with you on that. She’s obviously a poor owner, but don’t take it out on the dog

She needs to either find her own place or follow your rules. “Because I said so” should be your answer to her needing to follow your rules. It’s YOUR apartment, not hers. She may being paying rent but she can’t trash the place. 
Tell her that she has two choices. Dog goes in the crate, or she finds her own place.

I agree with @morgan because the dog is already 8 years old and set in its ways. If you put him in a kennel now at night and he isn’t used to it he is gonna cry... for a while. It’s a lot harder to train an older dog then it is to train a puppy. It takes more tome and patience you can’t just do something different and expect to get used to it. It’s just like having a baby. You have a baby co sleep for too long they are now used to it and once you decide to more them to their own bed they dint like it and they cry, and cry and cry and cry. If you don’t want to dog at night then tell her to keep him in her room? Move out, or just deal. Or have him do to a better home. I don’t know why he isn’t house trained to begin with what whatever. And vinegar will get out dog and cat pee smells. And backing soda. And then steam clean. It should be fine.

I’m all for kennel training but dogs aren’t supposed to poop and pee in the kennel, any reputable trainer can tell you that. 
In fact there should only be enough room in a kennel for the dog to go in make a turn and lay down. 
Also training an 8 year old dog to sleep in a kennel is going to be horrible and your better off going to a trainer to get the help with potty training and obedience because he knows he can walk all over her.
