So I had a question for all those who co parent. (Asking for a friend) 
So already paying child support, BM ask to have pay for child’s after school care. Would you go half? Pay in full? Or none cause already getting child support? She constantly ask for money almost every week.

Well considering most of the time child support is based off of income and doesn’t always take into consideration what the child does.... I would say that it would be decent to go in half’s for everything for the child.  Childcare, sports, other activities.

Who helped with the child support arrangement? Consult them and ask them to calculate and add in in half for childcare too. Do everything through the court.

In my opinion you can't pay the parent with physical custody too much if you can afford it. They are there daily and nightly, lose sleep, days from work when the child's sick, they comfort the child when the other parent isn't there, and they spend money on the child that never gets counted in court. Kids ask for things they see. The child should have the same lifestyle that their parents can afford to give themselves. When you make a baby you are responsible for half of EVERYTHING that baby needs. If the relationship survived the absent parent would be there investing as much as the other parent. They'd all have the same lifestyle. Since it didn't, the absent parent should still want the child to have as close to that as possible. My opinion.

You want to the legal thing to do or the right thing. In Ca, they included half of daycare cost into my child support. So I already had it. And I was the one claiming it on my taxes. The only thing he was required to pay half was medical cost. When my husband first was going thru a divorce, he gave her less cash, but paid the daycare directly every other week. So legally he isnt required. But morally he should help provide as much as he can for his child. But it depends I guess on the relationship he has with the childs mother. Me and my ex used to have a great relationship, after awhile we changed the CS with a personal agreement, he also agreed to pay for anything extra I couldn’t afford. Shoes, winter coats ect. Nothing big. Then he meet his now wife, who stuck her nose into it, and he refused to get the girls anything extra. So I ask CS to give me the court ordered amount, I never dealt with them again.
