Growth scan induction?

Getting a scan on Friday as baby is measuring big. Wondering what my chances are of getting induced. Im almost 36 weeks.

I’m getting induced tomorrow il be 39+2 because baby is measuring big AND I’m in a good bit of pelvic/hip pain doctor said he’s fully cooked so no point in waiting, this is also my 4th baby and I’m 2 cm dilated so favourable for induction 
I think you need a good few influencing factors before you will be booked in for an early induction x

I don't think they'll induce you before 37 weeks unless it's medically necessary. Unless little one is measuring very very small, I think they'll let baby get to around 10lbs before they consider an induction.

They won't induce before 37 weeks and most likely closer to 38 weeks. Also, those scans are just that! They can't possibly really tell the size of a baby and the margin of error is high. My sister in law was induced at 37 weeks because they thought baby was more than 8 lbs. She was born 5lbs 4ounces. She was so tiny and the pregnancy was absolutely healthy. She could have grown a bit more in her mum's tummy and get stronger. Instead she was brought out a bit to early and found it really difficult to gain weight. She lost a lot of weight straight after birth and it took her 2 months to regain that weight. I've never seen a baby grow this quickly.

I got in induced because baby was looking big they thought she would be at least 9lb baby as I’m only 5ft1. she was measuring 8lb7 at 38weeks scan so got induced at 39weeks 3days! But she came out at 8lb1oz! So I would worry to much on the weight as it can be out by 20%!

Yea they don’t induce if baby is big unless there are generally health concerns too. More likely to offer a c section if baby is measuring too big.
