So...I'm pretty sure I have herpes... Saturday I showered and shaved down there with soap I had never used before... I noticed little bumps, on my vulva lip and down around my anus, pop up on Sunday after my fiance and I had sex. I went to my gyno yesterday to be swabbed and tested. The gyno put me on 3 different creams (since we don't have the results back yet) and I've only used them once so far ( prescription wasn't ready until this morning). When I went to apply them, I noticed even more bumps, some that look like healing spots that got cut by a razor, and a few new ones right outside the opening of my vagina that look clear and liquid filled. It hurts to pee and wipe and everything. On top of that I had peak ovulation test readings Friday and spotting all day long yesterday and the gyno is about 95% sure it was implantation spotting....

We've been together for 2 years. I haven't cheated on him, and I'm fairly sure he hasn't cheated on me. Before him I had a little bit of a wild streak and I had slept around with quite a few people (not one of my proudest moments by any means) and tried to be careful.

The ob told me I could have gotten it years ago and this could be my first initial break out. I just have absolutely no clue how to tell my fiance. I've refused to have sex with him since I've noticed the bumps. The gyno said not to bring it up at all until we have the results. I know the first thing he is going to do is accuse me of messing around when I haven't at all. He knows how I was prior to us being together. But I've always been tested for STDs and always got negatives. But I got told herpes can't be tested for unless you have an outbreak.

Have any of you had this issue?? Where you got it from someone you were previously with and never had an outbreak until your deeply involved in a relationship?? I just don't know what to do, and all I want to do is cry.

Update:: so I got the call from the doctor, she confirmed it is herpes. My first ever break out. It only really lasted for 2 more days after I started the cream for it. So a total of about 5 days. She said that since they were not that sensitive, she highly doubts I will have breakouts very often.

Still trying to figure out when/ how to tell my fiance. I told him I was going into the ob because of spotting/cramping/ and I thought I had a uti.. also still waiting to see if i get my period on Thursday or not... She thinks the spotting I had was implantation spotting. Has anyone ever experienced spotting with a breakout? Like 3 days in?
