Will they likely do an ultrasound ? (Read description)

So I’m around 4 weeks pregnant. I’m at the dr office because I’ve had extremely itchy skin with no rash or bites. It feels like bugs are under my skin. My mom told me it could be something pregnancy related my question is will they do an ultrasound or is it too early to even see anything?

If they do an ultrasound, it would be kind of stupid because they won’t see anything and it’ll stress you out.

That’s really early to do one. And from what you described it’s not necessary to do an ultrasound for what you would be seeing them for. It wouldn’t help them diagnose why you are itchy. They don’t usually do them until closer to 8 weeks.

It’s highly unlikely they would do one. Even if they think you may need one, they are more likely to schedule you to come back and have one in a week or so. It’s unlikely at four weeks that even the gestational sac could be seen. 
At five or even six weeks, it’s not always possible to see more than the gestational sac and yolk sac. The only reason to do an ultrasound before a heartbeat can reliably be found (after 7-8 weeks) is to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. And since extreme itching isn’t typically a symptom of an ectopic pregnancy, they will likely have you wait until 8-12 weeks for an ultrasound.

I had my first ultra sound at 4 and a half weeks. All you could see was the gestational sac though

I doubt it. It's hard to see much before at least 8 weeks, which is why doctors don't usually do them earlier. I think at 5 weeks glow compares the baby to being the size of a mustard seed. Which is too small to see on an ultrasound, so I really don't think they'll bother doing one at 4 weeks.
