C-section ???

Question

To the ladies whom have had a c-section so, I called my doctor that I won’t be able to make it to my 6 week check up and that i was bleeding. The assistant said, okay well if you can’t make it we don’t reschedule only if you want birth control. I said , okay well doesn’t she need to check me to give me the clear if I’m okay to pick up heavy stuff and if i can have sex now when I’m done bleeding . First time having a c -section and I tied my tubes . Any ladies have this happen is okay to no check myself for my 6 week check up ????

My son just got discharged from the NICU on Friday . The doctor didn’t want him going nowhere until his 2 month shots and i have no one to leave him with .
When I said , can I reschedule she said , no unless you’re coming for birth control . I said , doesn’t she have to give me the clear after checking me she said no you just go on with your life . That’s why I’m so confused

You definitely should get checked. You had a major surgery.

You need to go to your check up to check your wound. Did you ask why they couldn't reschedule? Seems a bit strange.

I had a 3 week check up and was good but you need to see the doctor. The person answering the phone is probably just a random non medical person. Call and tell them you want an appt.

You definitely should have a check up. Try to be seen before or after if you need to.. but get checked to be sure you’re healing good. I went late at 8 weeks aha.. but made sure not to do anything before being cleared. Exercise, sex, lifting etc.

I've had 6 csections and I have ALWAYS been checked sometimes a little early but always

I went in sooner than 6 weeks to get my staples removed then I went back for the ok to resume normal activity. They don’t check your tubes to confirm the permanent birth control and they don’t need to check your cervix because you had a c section. It’s mostly to make sure your incision is healing properly and to make sure your uterus is shrinking. You should definitely have a 6 week post partum check up. Don’t reschedule just find a way to make the appointment.
