So I teach kindergarten and my grade level has decided to go on a field trip to a farm in October (it’s something we do every year). My dilemma is that that I will be 37 and a half weeks pregnant at the time of the trip. I feel like this is way too close to my due date so I’m thinking about backing out & letting a sub go in my place.

I do have an assistant so the kiddos will have at least one familiar face there with them. Plus almost all of our parents volunteer to go on field trips with us.

What would you guys do in this situation?

Oh yes and my pregnancy is high risk due to medical reasons (although the baby has been doing just fine).
