If he’s home when I go out I tell him. If he comes home and wonders where I am (sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn’t) he just texts me to find out. Works both ways.

Not to keep tabs each step but at the end of the day I tell him where I’ve been and what I got because I’m a sahm

We’ve lived together for three years. Once he started traveling (for days and sometimes weeks) for work we decided to permanently share our locations with each other. If either of us leave we let the other know. It’s basic safety. There’s a difference between asking for permission to go somewhere and respectfully letting your partner know where to find you if needed.

I'm a SAHM so I tell my husband when I'm out, by myself or with friends or family, and there's a possibility I won't be home when he gets home. Or if I make plans to go out with family or friends, I let him know. And he'll text me if decides to go to a friend's house after work or while I'm out. We don't do it to keep tabs on one another, we just want to let each other know that we're safe.

Not everywhere specifically. Like, it's pretty obvious when the fridge is full that I've gone grocery shopping and I let him know if I have dentist appointment or something. But it's more about coordinating schedules for us than the actual place we are going or have been.
