Christmas gifts

So I was talking to my bf and we got on the subject of Christmas gifts. We have two stances on gifts to kids:

Me: one gift. A good one gift. I grew up dreading Christmas because we were poor and I was lucky to get something (plus I really wanted to give gifts) and think that my children should be happy with one. Also, some kids get so.spoiled and I don't want to do that.

BF: he gonna make it rain with gifts. He wants his kids to have what he didn't.

So who do you agree with? Him or me?
