Should I talk to my doctor or leave it be?

Justyna • Mama to a toddler girl ♥️ and a newborn boy 💙

I am the woman who posted about her anatomy scan. I was 20w6d and was told my baby is measuring at one pound.

When my doctor was told this (before she saw any of the scans), she not only told me that I need to cut out all carbs from my diet immediately, but also that this fetal weight is what she sees at women who are 23/24 weeks. My doctor has always been a carbs freak, so this comes as no surprise.

I have since found out (not through my doctor) that one pound is actually the weight at 22 weeks so I am only measuring one week ahead and not the three my doctor told me.

I also have lost weight during this pregnancy and while my diet is by no means great, I am watching what I eat and eat in moderation. I also have been doing better than when I was pregnant with my first child in terms of what I eat. And with my first, I didn't have gestational diabetes or anything.

For a few hours after my appointment that day, I was in tears and despondent and so nervous. I have since calmed down and am doing a lot better. So I am wondering whether I should talk to my doctor at my next appointment about all of this. Or should I just leave it be? I would appreciate any advice or opinions. Thank you so much!
