Friend blocked my husband?

I need some advice. I have a guyfriend that my husband has always thought I’ve had a thing for. I never did. He and I have been friends about the same amt of time my hubby and I have known each other, about 8 years. But he lives out of state now and we’ve only hung out once in the last 5 years (we used to hang out more and had a pseudo band together), but the last time we hung out there was a weird connection that felt scary strong but we did not act on it and my husband was there with us the whole time. We’ve chatted on Instagram *as friends* about normal things we’ve always talked about and usually responding to one of our stories or something.
My husband has always felt threaten by this guy, which came as a huge surprise to me since I never did or said anything that would make him feel that way but I can understand his feelings.
My husband added him on Instagram recently, then my friend added him back. Then yesterday I announced my pregnancy and my friend full on blocked my husband. Wtf? We are both really confused and my husband is reading into it thinking there’s more between us than he knows about (there isn’t), but I don’t understand why he would block my husband.
Should I ignore it? Talk to my friend? What would you do? Am I in the wrong for ever even staying friends with this guy and talking to him on occasion?

If you felt this way about a woman wouldn’t you want your husband to stop talking to her? Is your friendship with him more important then your marriage? Because it sounds like it. At this point YOU block him on all social media and move on.

Lol you literally just said you guys had a scary strong connection, why would you not cut everything off right then? Like how would you feel if your husband had a strong connection with another girl and kept talking to her. Your friend obviously likes you and was upset about you announcing your pregnancy. Cut him off before he causes real issues.

Maybe your friend has a thing for you and seeing you starting a family hurts him. If that's the case, I'd just unfollow him as well and live your life with your husband. Don't let other people get in between you and your husband.

It sounds like your friend secretly has a crush on you. Hearing about your pregnancy obviously made him feel jealous so he blocked your husband. Very immature but it might be his way of coping.
I’d say it’s time to stop talking to him. Anyone who blocks my husband would not be allowed on my friend list. If you can’t accept my husband and father of my child then I can’t accept you.

I would say that it’s because of that connection you mentioned that felt ‘scary strong’, he cannot handle being friends with your husband because he clearly has very strong feelings for you. Probably unwise to try to continue communicating with this person if he can’t handle it.

He loves you and was still hoping there’s a chance you might break up with your husband, now that there’s a kid in the mix there’s definitely no chance you will leave your husband and he’s devastated now, I had a similar situation happen to me.

I have a guy friend who my SO was feeling threatened by... he was asking me weird questions about what our friendship was like and so on... I told him he had nothing to worry about. My friend (of 6 years) has been in a happy relationship since I’ve known him (they’ve been together 11 years, going on 12 in a month) and that I’ve never spent time with him outside of him coming into my work.  That he’s completely honorable and its part of what I like about him. That we just get on well and talk a lot. Well... last week he got a bit drunk and made a pass at me.... I had to tell my SO this and hear the “I told you so” stuff. I was shocked, naturally, but had to admit maybe I hadn’t noticed he had developed a crush on me. :/ kind of a bummer because he was one of the few guys who come into the bar that I felt confident he wouldn’t ever get weird with me. He had always been a total gentleman. My point is... your husband is likely right, tell him so. That maybe you have a blind spot when it comes to this friendship and are having a hard time realizing it and that maybe it’s a friendship you ought to let dissolve despite being bummed out about it.
